New York Fashion Week

Hey love,

Today, February 12, is the 4th day of New York Fashion Week. Since I’m a night owl, I’m writing this article at 4:30 a.m. New York time, so none of the shows for today have begun. This means we have 3 days of review to do. So put on your reading glasses and buckle up, we’re going full-fledged fashion up in this b***! I meant blog, obviously, get your mind out of the gutter 😉

Tommy Hilfiger

Ok technically this show wasn’t in New York, but Tommy Hilfiger SLAYED me. Watching his show online on his website, I was pressing the save look button on every single outfit that came out. I had to use some serious self-control to stop myself from hitting the button after saving 18 looks in a row. He just gets my vibe.

Model Gigi Hadid looked like such a babe with her radiant skin and gleaming smile. By combining gorgeous, glowing models with his eye-catching red, yellow, and blue color scheme, Hilfiger stole the show in Venice.

Lady Gaga also made an appearance, and she rocked her quirky style like nobody else could. Two words: Eyebrow goals.

Here are some other noteworthy looks from Tommy. Both of the Hadid sisters walked for Tommy, and Gigi (left) closed the show with Hilfiger holding some flowers as seen on her Instagram.

Also, Hailey Baldwin walked in the show wearing an oversized sweater-dress with a criss-cross neckline. Featuring a gigantic navy H on the front, it’ll get the message across, you love Hilfiger. Hailey’s look could be taken straight off the runway and put onto the street, and the only long stares you would get would be of fashion envy.

Speaking of wearing looks fresh off the catwalk, if you’re not doing it then you’re doing NYFW all wrong. “See now buy now” is a hot phrase in the fashion world right now. The concept is that consumers will see designers’ clothes on their models, and then you will be able to buy the exact designs shortly after the show. These outfits such as the one’s in this show are known as “ready to wear.”

La Perla

In competition with TH for 1st place in my fashion diary is, lingerie line, La Perla. Featuring renowned models and celebrities such as, Victoria Secret Angels, Stella Maxwell and Kendall Jenner. Kendall wore the first “naked dress” of NYFW which was lace and embellished with crystal and pearl detail. Also making magazine headlines, Kenny bared her nipples through the sheer fabric.

Opening the show, model Naomi Campbell turned heads in a blue and black lace slip. This woman is 46 and doesn’t look a day over 21.

The dresses were clearly a hit as well.

  1. Thanks Morgan! I have two spring vacations right around the corner and didn’t know what to buy. I plan to use your recommendations as my shopping list.
